Park Jefferson Speedway announces formation of Drivers Council
The Park Jefferson Speedway is pleased to announce it will be creating a driver council to help us create our vision for the racetrack in the coming years as well as give drivers a forum to have an input at change. The council will have a representative from each division that competes at Park Jefferson.
“We are working on our plans for where Park Jefferson is, and where it is going. While we have had great input from drivers in the past, we felt that the creation of a drivers council will allow us to meet with the drivers and discuss their input. We have worked hard to adopt their ideas in the past, such as the cat walk and the improved pit lighting. As we continue to work forward we want their input to make Park Jefferson the best it possibly can be” stated General Manager Rod Olson.
The Driver Council will hold meetings throughout the year. There will be 1-2 meetings during the offseason to discuss schedules, rule changes and policy adjustments as well as during the year to discuss racing issues and facility changes.
Based on the winter survey, a handful of drivers indicated their interest. If any additional drivers are interested, please contact Rod Olson at oxolson@hotmail.com or call 712-267-3278
