Park Jefferson International Speedway
MLRA and IMCA Modified Road to the Iron Cup on Cookies BBQ Night
Saturday, June 23rd the Park Jefferson Speedway returns to action with a full night of racing, featuring the return of the Lucas Oil Midwest LateModel Racing Association(MLRA) and IMCA Weekly action.
The MLRA features some of the top regional open late model drivers and many drivers are excited to return the Upper Midwest after a great visit in 2015. The Park Jefferson Speedway will be hosting the final leg of the races as the Rapid Speedway will host night number one of the two night swing. Leading the way for the late models is Chad Simpson in the familiar black and green number 25 who won the opening night of the 2 day show at Park Jefferson in 2015. Joining him atop the point standings is Tony Jackson Jr, who is a multi time MARS series champion and looking for his first championship with the MLRA. A host of other regional competitors will be on hand and action could be very interesting as many Nebraska drivers with laps at Park Jefferson could come to challenge the MLRA regulars. Full point standings can be found at www.mlraracing.com.
An exciting co headliner for the night is the Artworks Graphics IMCA Modifieds who will be participating in their Road to the Iron Cup event. The modifieds will pay $1,000 to the winner and earn an automatic qualification into the Fast Shafts All Star Ballot for IMCA Modifieds. Jay Noteboom will also look to take the checker flags to claim the second leg of the $25,000 clean sweep Sjogrensen Winery Bonus. Noteboom picked up the checkers in the first event held on May 26th.
For support divisions, the track will also see IMCA Sprint Cars, J&J Fitting IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA Sport Modifieds and Z98 IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts.
