Park Jefferson International Speedway
Friday, May 24th, Zeitner & Sons brings the SLMR back to Park Jefferson
This Friday, May 24th, Park Jefferson and Zeitner & Sons will present a special Friday night of racing as Joe Kosiski’s band of travelling warriors head north on I 29 to invade the Park Jefferson Speedway. This night of racing is always a fan favorite as some of the great racing names in Park Jefferson history return to bring the Super Late models back to Park Jefferson. Some of the names that are expected to be on hand make a list of racing royalty at Park Jefferson such as Berck, Kosiski, and Zeitner. With I 80 Speedway being off until Sunday’s Charlie Clark Memorial, many of the top Nebraska drivers are expected to make their way north to battle at The Park. Joining them will be a full night of non-sanctioned J&J Fitting Stocks Cars, Sport Modifieds and Sport Compacts. Both the Stock Cars and the Sport Modifieds will be $500 to win and $50 to start as Park Jefferson is running non-sanctioned in order to make the event open to both the regular Park Jefferson drivers as well as any drivers from I 80 Speedway that normally compete under the NASCAR sanction. There is no entry fee for any drivers. The support divisions will run by IMCA rules and a standard IMCA draw/redraw format. No points will be awarded.
The pit gate will open at 4:30 with the main gate opening at 5pm. Hot laps will be slated for 6:15 both nights and heat races scheduled at 7pm or the conclusion of hot laps. Tickets for adults are $18, seniors are $15 and children 6-16 are $5. Pit passes are $30. A clubhouse pass can be added to any ticket for $12 and purchased at the souvenir stand. Tickets can be purchased online at https://market.myracepass.com/store/tickets/?i=1172040&store=10866.
